Market Starts June 14th!
Thursdays 4-7pm Legion Park to August 30th
Looking for watermelon and peaches? Better go to Ridley’s then…
Want cinnamon bread, flank steak, and a dozen eggs?
Then come on down to the Pinedale High Altitude Farmer’s Market at Legion Park!Pinedale boasts the highest farmer’s market in the State at 7175 feet in elevation, and one of the highest in the USA!! Not only is Pinedale high and cold, with a subartic climate designation but we are also surrounded by high and dry for a hundred miles. Despite some crafty green thumbs in the county conducting “combat gardening” watermelons and peaches just aren’t in the cards.
What is in the cards?
We have a range of hardy vendors offering grass feed beef, lamb, eggs, and dairy products. We have some enterprising individuals offering up locally grown greens and root vegetables. Periodically someone stops by to offer fruits and flowering vegetables like cucumbers imported from lower elevations like Utah and Colorado. We also have an assortment of vendors offering cotton candy, crepes, walking salads, fresh baked breads, salts (not the fainting kind) and canned delights of many varieties.
But what about CRAFTS, you ask?
Be sure to leave room on your head for air brushed truckers hat, counter space for a goat milk soap perched in some handmade pottery, crocheted super heros for the grandkids, or a bunch of sage for smudging.
The Market is the weekly event in Pinedale and happens almost every Thursday June 14th to August 30th from 4-7pm at Legion Park. This year we will host 3 markets during the Soundcheck Summer Music Series on Sat. June 30th, Fri. Aug. 3rd, and Sat. Aug. 11th from 5-8pm.
